BIG's
Managed Hosting come with all of the features of our standard
plans, with additional and enhanced support for customizing
your server, and for troubleshooting and configuring more advanced
settings. We can provide these services on a virtual or a dedicated
server. You have complete access, we provide the support.
At BIG, we understand that there are areas of running your web
site that you may not have expertise in, and while we provide
a comprehensive services, there may be times where something
you want to do falls outside of what the standard server setup
provides, or you aren't sure how to go about doing something
on your server. The Managed Hosting packages give you the freedom
and support that you need to go forward.
Some
examples of the kind of things we can help you with include:
- Troubleshooting
paths and permissions.
- Setting
up custom virtual host or server options.
- Adding
redirects or custom error pages.
- Installing
nonstandard libraries or modules.
- Modifications
to web or ftp server configurations.
- Custom
scripts or packages that may be needed.
- Adding
additional system,database, or mail users.
- Helping
with password protecting directories.
Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and while we can't
guarantee that every request can be granted (e.g. if they fall
outside the scope of minor changes, or may compromise the security
of the server), the Managed Hosting account covers a lot of requests
and adjustments that many other hosts either don't let you do
at all, or will not offer any advice or support to help you carry
them out yourself.
- Writing
scripts or custom programming.

Installing complete packages (such as shopping carts, forums,
etc).
- Writing
complex directives or grep statements for processing.
- Copywriting,
proofreading, or fixing poorly coded pages or scripts.
Setup
fees apply and we will discuss these with you prior to carrying
them out.
The skilled team at BIG can also do high quality design work for
you, and at $75/hr our rates are extremely competitive. Please
